Besides the beautiful park and pond in Taiping, another interesting place to visit especially for coffee lovers is Antong Coffee Mill.

Antong Coffee Mill was founded in 1933 by Mr. Tiah Ee Mooi in Taiping. It is currently the oldest operating coffee mill in Malaysia. The mill has made its coffee, Antong Coffee, a popular drink among the locals. The mill was formerly the villa for Chen Cuifen a.k.a “Forgotten Revolutionary Female” and “The First Revolution Parter” of Dr Sun Yat Sen. Dr Sun Yat Sen was a Chinese revolutionary and politician who is known as the “Father of the Nation” in China for his role in overthrowing the Qing dynasty and founding the Republic of China. He visited Taiping in 1910 and stayed at Chen Cuifen’s villa which was later converted into Antong Coffee Mill.

When we reached the coffee mill, the aromatic coffee smell filled the air... We weren't allowed to go into the factory side, we could just watch from the outside. But here's a Youtube video I found online which shows the process of producing the Antong Coffee.

We spent the longest time shopping for coffee during our visit here... They have a variety of coffee and tea product... Really a lot of products... We got ourselves white coffee both 3in1 and 2in1. The differences between these two is the milk. 2in1 is without milk, just coffee and sugar. If you have been following my blog for a long time, you would know that I love my coffee WHITE! with ton loads of milk... hahahaha, I can go without sugar but not without milk...
