Trying out 3d printing which granted is still in early evolution but has massive potential. So before I try get all art with it decided to start out printing some tools I need.
In this case 4 mini clamps, so after finding what I was after on thingiverse.com, uploading and scaling it on cura. It was almost time to start printing. The object needs converted into G-code for the printer to read. Sounds complicated but really quick easy.
Once the G-code file is loaded up and PLA(the plastic material used to make whatever with) fitted it was time to go. As of writing this its only just started, no idea how its going to turn out. Read enough to know I know little but tempered with the fact i bought the best model for out of the box noobs to use. Sure plenty can still go pete tong though.
In many aspects 3d printing is like crypto in thats is an emerging technology pioneered by individuals and used for self empowerment but fought with a steep learning curve.
