Greetings and a lovely day to you all in this community, I hope you are all doing well and fine today. In today's world where screen time dominates leisure hours, indulging in an creative activity every Sunday can be a refreshing change. Today I present to you a paper rose flower which I made on my own to use as a decorative piece in my home, unlike real flower that wilt with time paper rose remains a lasting symbol of creativity and beauty. Here's how I made my paper rose flower.
MATERIALS
• Red embossed paper
• white A4 paper
• Scissors
• Gum
• pencil
• Eraser
• Ruler
making process
step I
Firstly, I measured 12 cm x 12 cm on my red embossed paper and then cut it off into 8 pieces, I did the same thing with my white colour paper by the length 9 cm x 9 cm and also cut it into 8 pieces.
step 2
I fold each of the paper into two equal parts and then draw my flowers on them and cut them accordingly. This paper shall serve as the petals of the flower
step 3
After doing that, I then made the petals of the flower by cutting each of the piece of paper and fold a little bit, then I cut the bottom of each of the cut paper into two. I crossed a little and gummed it together.
step 4
At this point, I then cut the base of the flower which is octagon in shape because my flower shall have eight (8) petals. After cutting the base for the red and white, then I began to gum it one by one on both the red and white base.
step 5
Then I finished gumming the red and white petals , I also made a small white flower and gum it inside of the red flower.
step 6
I cut a small red paper into pieces on the top with scissors and then gum it on the white layers in the flower as an anther and stigma. And my craft was finally complete.

Here's a picture of my final result

Spending a Sunday crafting this simple paper rose has transformed a simple day into a meaningful and productive experience which I very much like. Honestly speaking I felt very excited doing this paper craft knowing fully that it showed my creativity. I got tired at some point but I was able to do it to the finishing, I hope you all enjoyed reading through and thanks for your time.
Have a nice day
