For all of my adult life, society has been borrowing from future generations to enhance our current lifestyle. This is a problem. Whose problem is it?
In the early 1960’s my home town ‘floated’ a municipal bond to build schools. Those buildings have served the community for all this time. These bonds however never really were paid off. Rather they have been rolled over into new debt.
This has happened all over the planet. Huge debt now exists for all mankind. Someone must pay... or not.
Governments are now borrowing more. This time, we are not borrowing to build schools. We are borrowing to pay for social services like police, water, and trash removal. Rather than paying taxes for improvements, we must borrow to pay bills... maintenance.
Whose problem is this history of overspending? Do our children deserve to bear the burden of our irresponsibly?
Obviously it is not my personal problem. Neither is it the personal problem of anyone. The use of a guillotine is not an option. Future generations ha inherited a corrupt impersonal system.
This system will bring revolution. It is coming soon. Governments will crumble as citizens starve.
Here is today’s beauty.
