Stanley Sainey lives in the same apartment building as the couple and said he was shocked to learn that the woman had been stabbed and that police are looking for her partner.
“He is always smiling and would often say hello,” Sainey said. “When I saw his car was gone I figured it out. I was very surprised by this news because I didn’t know there was violence in that relationship.”

The woman has two other children who were not home when their mother was attacked. The woman had called police Sunday night after a dispute with her partner. Police suggested to her that her two children stay with relatives.
