Welcome to my weekly #saturdaysavers post, a frequent saving update I make every week as my s a participation in Saturday Savers Club. #saturdaysavers club is saving club, so you can expect our activities are all about sharing our saving updates, and it can go all the way whether it is on HIVE or outside HIVE including in our real world asset.
There isn't anything I could say for this week saving, it's all quite here. Too quite in fact it is like and old say that It is the calm before the storm. Now this sounds bad so let me pick a random topic here.
Splinterlands... yes we have the new edition, Conclave Arcana. This time things are working well not like two years ago when Chaos Legion released and everyone's Greed destroyed all the economy.
This time we get the right distribution volume, the NFT(s) are there, they are not scarce but around the right volume. So it is not easy to get a copy from the rental market. Like it or not, you must buy some of them, to set a minimum cards available in your selection incase you fail to get any from rental market.
Now the question is, how much do they cost you?
This is the number I need for next week. I need around $15 to $20 each week, I do not think buying all in the first week is efficient. I believe as time progresses, many earlier phase packs purchasers will quit or retire, then they will rent out their cards.
So I believe later there will be more cards available for rent, although this is purely just a rough guess, nothing backs this argument. So I can be wrong!
Let say I need $20 per week, up till how much then? Honestly I have no clue, but currently I need around $500 to buy some Splinterlands units and maybe around $360 for the summoners. Let say around $900 to $1000 to get a competitive Gold Foil Deck for Modern Gold Rank Battle.
It is expensive? yet it is, if I go for full all units even though they won't be at max level. However I would not buy all, some I might skip them because maybe they are not suitable with my preferred meta.
I won't be buying expensive cards too, I will try to rent them or maybe I just ignore their existence. I will keep adding some cards starting from the essential and cheap one, until I feel like my deck is a lot more playable and enjoyable.
Currently I am on Gold League however I do not see my deck as something that can be called competitive, and I believe later when Wild Format free access is over, many competitive players will be joining modern rank. So I need to improve my deck soon, step by step based on how much free cold fund I can spend on this game.
That's what I can say about this game, and I bet for several weeks ahead, I will spend many on this Gold Foil Splinterlands cards, the Conclave Arcana edition. Anyway I still buying Splinterlands assets not as investment, it's more like I still like playing this game and I realize if I stop playing, I will seek new games which in the end I will still spend some money on those games too lol.
Ok that's for today chit chat, Now let's see my saving update here..
PRIMARY TARGET : HBD SAVING
My primary goal is to grow my $HBD Saving, to reach 5.000 $HBD Saving in this year, 2025. That is an ambitious target regarding I started 2025 with 0 $HBD. Mathematically this means I need to get $95 HBD every week.
I have 70 $HBD saving right now. You can see I have some extra 14 liquid $HBD there, I could just add my staked $HBD to 80 instantly but I chose not to do that. That extra liquid $HBD is need to fund my Splinterlands account, I am buying some Gold Foil Conclave Arcana cards.
So here I am stuck on 10 $HBD saving per week. I know I can not rely on weekly saving here, I need to make several big top up later in future to catch up my gap here.
As I always say this, it won't be easy, it is very hard... but that's what a great goal should be...
SECONDARY TARGET : HIVE POWER (HP)
Hive Power (HP) is very important for all Hivers who plan to stay long on this blockchain. For 2025, my secondary goal is to have 13.500 Hive Power (HP). It's not a big target and I want to make as many people realize that it is important to grow your Hive Power.
I have reached 11.461 HP this week, it was a 67 HP growth last week. I thought it would be bad regarding I was not active week ago. Turned out it worked well and it was still a good saving result anyway.
I need 2.039 HP more and I only have 32 weeks left. So in average, I need 64 HIVE POWER per week. It is an attainable target, nothing to worry about but still I can not let my focus off completely here.
But bottom line is that my secondary target is still on track, I get this done without having to push my self excessively.
