Hello, foodies!
After a long time, finally I could meet you all through my blog. It is because recently I didn’t have much time to write, even I couldn’t have me time alone. So sorry guys, now in this new year I would like to wish you all the best first.
My very first blog this year would tell you about one of I think the best hotpot in my city, Jakarta. It is not a well known international brand but it is so tasty. Well, let me tell you about our experience there. The restaurant is located in Gajah Mada Plaza, the oldest shopping center in my city. It’s’ name Jiang Nan, rotation hotpot.
When we arrived there, the tables near the rotate machine for the hot pot materials were full. So then we decided to go to the next store (luckily Miniso) and we left our phone number there. Fortunately, not a long time, they called us. And also next to this store is. Miniso (I bought some cute things even deposited it there to be continued after we have our lunch.
No pork no lard so it would be a welcome restaurant for our moslem friends. With some choices of broth like:
⁃ Szechuan mala soup (hot)
⁃ Szechuan soup (hot)
⁃ Herbal chicken soup
⁃ 3 combination soup
⁃ Tomato soup
⁃ Tom Yum soup
⁃ Mushrooms soup
⁃ Lemon Thai soup
⁃ Fermented veggie fish soup
⁃ Guizhou Hot & Sour soup
Both of us decided not to have spicy broth that day, I chose herbal chicken while my boyfriend chose 3 combination soup (fish, chicken and mushroom).
Inside they put the ingredients neatly so that you don’t want to mess them up wkwk.
And actually they showed their variants of soup again on the wall and they also put some of the ingredients photos and names on one of their wall. They are sliced beef, sliced lamb, meatball, shrimp, shrimp paste, crab stick, enoki, lotus root, ear mushroom, and bean curd.
A bit unfair the menu hung at the back of the cashier.
The dining room they have was large, comfortable and neat. They furnished it with blush of red and orange color. Too bright for my eyes hahah.
Not far from the free flow rice, you could see much kind of sauce and condiments that you could take to make your hot pot tastier.
Beside rice, you could also take the free flow tea.
This was our table at the beginning, my boyfriend chose 3 combination soup, while me, herbal chicken.
A plate of beef came to our table (they saved it so you couldn’t choose it yourselves).
We chose many ingredients as we wanted that day. So funny they put them on sticks, we took broccoli, bean curd, sea grass, tofu, fish cake and others.
Look my broth still have chicken in it. I really love the broth because it tasted so deep. It had tasty chicken flavor with not much salty flavor. Love it much. I don’t regret to choose it. I thought my boyfriend’s was not as tasty as mine (a bit fishy for my sense).
And the sliced beef were soft too, yummy..
We still tried some other things like shrimp spring rolls like below.
We also got free dessert.
And then after paying off, they would give you ice cream, and you could choose they taste you like, guess which one was mine?
