Dialogue is Dead...

P.S. We'll miss You

10:33 pm on a Friday, prime time for an Irish wake. Half an hour ago, my drunk self, decided to try out this bar called "Snapchat" - all I wanted was a hot take. Fortunately, I ran into some old friends in there, after catching up for a while I discovered that one of our good old friend Dialouge - is dead. I was pondering over the shocking news, when his wife Conversation and daughter Communication joined us for his memorial wake.

Seeing them welled me up, and I just had to get this off my chest...

I'm so sorry, my condolences! It has been ages since I last talked to him. Back in the old days, he loved socializing - I don't know what it was, but he would go up to anyone and would be able to get them ranting, merry-making, debating or discussing over anything. They would end up being humanely intimate over these elaborate stories, like he was the key these new relationships were forged - be it friendly, romantically, professionally of just for formality. His presence especially never let me feel desolated, deserted, isolated or even abandoned. I'm going to miss him!

I felt them agreeing with me, all teary eyed.

As the wake went on and the stories trickled in, I learned that Dialogue and Evan Spielberg opened this bar back as partners in 2011. Evan being the majority holder and the idea man. They were hoping to bring back the good old fashion ways of socializing, with a more face to face approach unlike their next-door competition "Facebook".

Facebook was notoriously known for it's "Likes for a shot." I remember seeing that ad on my way over here ...

Funny thing, this drink does not cause any liver damages no matter how much you take it, so a perfect drink for alcoholics to get addicted on. Who could have thought this idea of bringing people closer with pictures of memories would lead to national crisis for legal addiction?
