Greetings fellow Steemians.
Do permit me to introduce myself to you the esteemed members of this unique community.
I am Mark Paul Etakefe, known here in Steemit as @dechair. I am male and in my middle fifties.
I am from the oil rich but vastly neglected Delta state of Nigeria. I am however based in the commercial city of Lagos.

My Early life

I am the last and the second male of my parents six children. Growing up in the midst of a mixed family like this under parents that were predominantly farmers prior to the discovery of oil in my region ought to have been real fun. However, nature had it's own plan as I lost my father at a very tender age (about Nine). It was therefore a daunting task as there was the fear that my bereaved mom wouldn't be able to cope with my upbringing. I was therefore shipped off to Lagos to be raised by my maternal auntie who was then a trader and a strict disciplinarian.

Early life in Lagos.

As I can recall, the arrival of the village boy in Lagos during the peak of the then civil war in the country was a mix bag of different memories and the opening of another vista in my life.
Through thick and thin, I eventually attended the then Ogun state University, Ago Iwoye where I studied Banking and Finance.
I am an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria and a student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Job/Career

I trained and worked as a Relationship Manager/Financial Analyst with two of the leading banks in Nigeria. I left the industry over a decade ago to follow my passion and pursue my personal goals.
I presently own and run Business Advisory firm. I am a public speaker and run seminars to teach financial empowerment, capacity building and moral re-direction. I am also a Network Marketer.

My foray into Steemit

I regard myself very fortunate to have come in contact with the founder of Euronation @Eurogee (the action Man) who did not only introduce this wonderful/unique community to me but has been kind enough to mentor me on the path to success in Steemit.

My aspirations in Steemit

I have a strong passion to make positive impact in changing the concept and perception of people (especially youths) to life, finance and general well-being via my training/mentorship vehicle (Total Quality Concept) and I see Steemit as a veritable platform to actualise my goals through the teeming generality of members.

My major strength/weekneses

I am hardworking, always willing to learn and seek the good of others at all times.
My major fault lies in my readiness to trust and help people without restrictions and have zero tolerance for falsehood and laziness.

My marital life

I am married and graciously blessed with both male and female healthy children who are presently pursuing their education at various levels.

I love travelling, reading/writing, meeting people and listening to gospel music.
With Steemit, I see a future of possibilities, hope rekindled, aspirations fulfilled and belief restored.
