Well hello there, it's been awhile. Although alternative writing methods may have been quicker I'm glad I took the time to plug back into the matrix, see where things are at. Make sure I still remember how, flex those decentralized muscles.
This song has been stuck in my head for the evening. After what was probably far too much Cyberpunk, I grabbed my bag and my keys in pursuit of noodles.
"The whole world at your fingertips the ocean at your door" oof that's about right Bo. There are a few lines in this that hit big time.
Anyway, as I drove down the highway on the way to Hmart, I soon realized it wasn't to be in the cards. Cars were pouring into the mall parking lot and every lot and space up and down the highway for miles, for what I presume would be a good place to see fireworks.
As I'm typing to you I can hear them booming in the distance as this song plays. I don't know if you know this but whenever I'm writing to you I listen to the track I post you as I write.
I pulled a U turn and soon realized people were driving like maniacs, other people on foot and kids on bikes were darting across streets, so I headed back.
Off the highway and around the block I saw some pretty impressive ones and I thought that maybe the town was starting their fireworks display a little early. To my surprise it was just regular people in a park.
Actually the more I drove around the more I realized it wasn't an isolated incident. Lots of people had them. And they weren't little driveway sparklers, they were SERIOUS professional fireworks! Which I'm pretty sure are illegal, and yet here we were...

I've got a strange relationship with this holiday. Truthfully I kinda dislike it, for a number of reasons and in recent years it certainly doesn't feel like there's much to celebrate about. But when it's a warm July night and you see the kids racing their bikes down the street, glow sticks and bracelets head to toe, I can't help but feeling nostalgic.
Theres something about sitting in a field, with these massive explosions going on over your head. The gravity of how small you are. I remember finding that feeling thrilling. To be just there. And sometimes I'd look around, and watch people's faces light up with the reflection of the lights, and I'd feel like wow, I'm the only person seeing it this way. And I don't know that felt, comforting.
A different perspective.
In recent years I've been either with you, eating burgers and watching V for Vendetta, or here, playing games, and going to bed early. LOL. Roll on for better days eh?
I think this is where I leave you my love. I'm starting to feel the heavy eyes so I think it's a bit of zone out HBO show and sleeps for me.
Sending you all the loves and good energies for your morning adventures. Be safe please <3
I love you and I like you.
Happy Monday
