Vengo... al fin; con mi presentación a hacer mi entrada oficial. Y digo al fin porque ya llevo varios días de estar por acá y les confieso que leerles y estar en silencio ha sido casi una tortura —jajajaja.
Mi nombre completo es Dayanne Iglesias Cecilia, pero siempre me han llamado Dayi con la intención de hacerme más chiquita, yo encantada pues ya llevo vivita y coleando unos 27 años, y aún no me lo creo.
Actualmente vivo en La Habana, Cuba, un lugar donde hace tanto calor que los inviernos son casi inexistentes, y eso señoras y señores es algo que se lleva en la sangre.
Desde pequeña me encanta el arte de hacer "casi" cualquier cosa: pintar, sembrar, coser, son solo algunas de las aficiones que arrastro de aquella época. Crear cosas con las manos es lo mío definitivamente y sobre todo si es esa etapa del principio donde aprendes, adquieres una nueva habilidad y con cada detalle que descubres se te queda en la cara estampado el gesto de deslumbramiento. Es por eso que hoy tengo un negocio de hacer decoraciones murales y artesanías de fieltro. Se podrán imaginar lo que disfruto el trabajo (si es que lo puedo llamar así), para mí es diversión. Pues así mismo pasé mi infancia metida en dibujitos y haciendo que mi madre me llevara a cuanta actividad, baile o teatro se me ocurriera montar en la escuela.
A los 7 años llegó la persona más importante de mi vida, mi hermano, del cual puedo decir que es con quien más he aprendido. Su nombre es David, y al nacer sufrió una parálisis cerebral que lo dejó completamente inmóvil y con una edad mental de un niño de 3 años para siempre. Con el tiempo y el trabajo de todos los que estuvieron cerca logró moverse y comunicarse creando una lengua única que solo nosotros entendemos …😉. La vida nos cambió a todos y aunque hubo más bajos que altos, una vez superado, se puede decir en toda la extensión de la frase que David es la alegría de la casa.
Hablando de familia aprovecho para mencionarles a @saraleo y a @rumbapoet, estos que algunos ya deben conocer por acá son mis tíos que aunque ya mayores (solo un poco 😁) dominan con entusiasmo mucho mejor que yo todo esto de las redes sociales. Es a través de ellos que conozco esta plataforma y el increíble contenido que presenta. Sara, que tiene una gran capacidad de ver lo maravilloso y el arte detrás de todo, comienza a llenarnos la cabeza de sus descripciones de Hive. De cómo podría compartir experiencias y talentos de forma más personalizada. De lo bonito y mágico de convivir con “abejas” -ya a mí las reales me encantan- yo las crío, como se dice, pero en realidad ellas me crían a mí.
Parte de mi tiempo se lo dedico a la meliponicultura; que es el manejo y cuidado de abejas meliponas sin aguijón. Son una especie muy dócil y con similares resultados de productos como la miel, polen, propóleos, etc. He ido estudiando esto de forma autodidacta y cada vez me enamoro más de la capacidad y el funcionamiento dentro de la colmena.
De la mano de Sara también conozco el término permacultura que es uno de mis amores, el arte de vivir en equilibrio con el resto de los seres vivos y diseñar las cosas de forma tal que nuestro paso por la Tierra sea sin crear desechos -o los menores posibles-. Como me gusta cultivar mis propios alimentos y lo hacía en cualquier esquina que tuviera un poco de tierra, me dió un libro con toda la información y de su boca estas palabras exactas —Léetelo, investiga y verás que te va a encantar. Y así fue... siempre sabia, nunca equivocada, acertó una vez más.
Me gusta mucho la idea de estar en esta blockchain y espero que plasmando mis experiencias pueda descubrir en mí, nuevos talentos. Por ahora me despido, con mucho más por contar y la barriga llena de mariposas por la emoción de quien aprende algo nuevo y ansiosa de que llegue el momento de volverles a escribir.

I come... at last; with my presentation to make my official entrance. And I say at last because I've been around here for several days now and I confess that reading and being in silence has been almost a torture - hahahahaha.

Since I was a child I have loved the art of making "almost" anything: painting, sowing, sewing, are just some of the hobbies I carry from that time. Creating things with my hands is definitely my thing and especially if it is that stage at the beginning where you learn, you acquire a new skill and with every detail you discover, you get a dazzled look on your face. That is why today I have a business of making wall decorations and felt crafts. You can imagine how much I enjoy my work (if I can call it that), for me it is fun. That's how I spent my childhood, I was involved in drawing cartoons and making my mother take me to every activity, dance or theater I could think of at school.
When I was 7 years old, the most important person in my life arrived, my brother, from whom I can say that he is the one with whom I have learned the most. His name is David, and at birth he suffered a cerebral palsy that left him completely immobile and with the mental age of a 3 year old forever. With time and the work of everyone who was close he managed to move and communicate creating a unique language that only we understand ...😉. Life changed us all and although there were more lows than highs, once overcome, it can be said in the full extent of the phrase that David is the joy of the house.
Speaking of family I take the opportunity to mention @saraleo and @rumbapoet, these that some of you may already know around here are my uncles that although already older (just a little 😁) dominate with enthusiasm much better than me all this social networking. It is through them that I know this platform and the incredible content it presents. Sara, who has a great ability to see the awesomeness and artistry behind it all, starts filling our heads with her descriptions of Hive. Of how she could share experiences and talents in a more personalized way. Of how beautiful and magical it is to live with "bees" - I already love the real ones - I raise them, as they say, but in reality they raise me.
Part of my time is dedicated to meliponiculture, which is the management and care of stingless melipon bees. They are a very docile species and produce similar results in products such as honey, pollen, propolis, etc. I have been studying this in a self-taught way and each time I fall more and more in love with the capacity and functioning inside the hive.
From Sara's hand I also know the term permaculture which is one of my loves, the art of living in balance with the rest of the living beings and design things in such a way that our passage through the Earth is without creating waste -or as little as possible-. As I like to grow my own food and I did it in any corner that had a little bit of land, he gave me a book with all the information and from his mouth these exact words -Read it, investigate and you will see that you will love it. I really like the idea of being in this blockchain and I hope that by sharing my experiences I can discover in myself new talents.
