Today, as part of the collection of Pokémon I’ve created, I decided to share a Magnemite with all of you. It’s an Electric/Steel-type Pokémon shaped like a magnet, and I’ve crafted it as a 2D decorative figure using the quilling technique.

Hola a toda mi gente de Hive... 🐱

Hoy una vez más como parte de la colección de los tantos Pokémon que he hecho, decidí hacer para compartir con todos ustedes, un Pokémon Magnemite, el mismo es de tipo eléctrico/acero y tiene forma de imán, se los traigo en forma de una figura decorativa en 2D en la técnica de quilling.

Esperando que sea de su agrado, les dejo mi proceso creativo:

• To make the centerpiece, we’ll use 3-mm-wide quilling paper in various colors: black, white, and gray.

• We’ll start by winding the paper around the needle with a piece of black paper to form a small circle. Next, we’ll use white paper to create a slightly thicker strip. Then, we’ll go back to a small piece of black paper, followed by gray paper to make another thick strip. We’ll finish with another piece of black paper, secure it with extra-strong white glue, and remove it from the needle.

• Para realizar la pieza central vamos a tomar cinta para quilling de diversos colores de 3 mm de ancho, negro, blanco y gris.

• Vamos a enrollar con la aguja iniciando con un trozo de color negro para hacer un pequeño círculo, continuaremos con color blanco realizando una franja un poco más gruesa, continuaremos nuevamente con un pequeño trozo de color negro para luego seguir con color gris realizando otra franja gruesa, finalizaremos con otro trozo de color negro, sellamos con pega blanca extra fuerte y sacamos de la aguja.

• To create the details of the centerpiece, take a 3 mm wide dark gray ribbon and use it to make a small closed circle.

• Next, use a 1 mm wide gray ribbon to make another closed circle that’s slightly larger.

• Join the two pieces together to form a screw, then glue it to the top of the centerpiece.

• We’ll use a circle-making mandrel and, using size 4 from top to bottom, make a ring with gray tape.

• Once the ring is ready, we’ll apply extra-strong white glue and let it dry thoroughly.

• Para hacer los detalles de la pieza central, tomaremos cinta de color gris oscuro de 3 mm de ancho con ella haremos un pequeño círculo cerrado.

• Proseguimos con cinta gris de 1mm de ancho con la cual realizaremos otro círculo cerrado un poco más grande.

• Uniremos ambas piezas para formar un tornillo, este lo pegaremos en la parte de arriba de la pieza central.

• Vamos a tomar un mandril para moldear círculos y en la medida número 4 de arriba hacia abajo haremos un aro con cinta de color gris.

• Una vez listo el aro, aplicaremos pega blanca extra fuerte y dejaremos secar muy bien.

• To finish the remaining details, take a 1-millimeter-wide gray ribbon and use it to make two closed circles.

• Once the circles are ready, take a piece of dark gray ribbon and glue a cross-like shape onto each piece to make them look like screws. Glue them to both sides of the bottom of the center piece.

• At this point, take the ring we made earlier, cut it in half, and shape both parts into magnets.

• Using red and blue cold-set paint, paint the tips of the piece to create the magnet’s poles. Glue it to both sides of the central piece.

• To protect and laminate it, apply several layers of extra-strong white glue, allowing each layer to dry before applying the next.

This completes the Magnemite Pokémon as a decorative figure, created using the quilling technique.

• Para continuar con los detalles restantes, tomaremos cinta de color gris de un milímetro de ancho, con ella realizaremos dos círculos cerrados.

• Listo los círculos tomaremos un trozo de cinta gris oscuro, y pegaremos una especie de cruz en cada pieza para simular que son tornillos. Pegaremos en ambos lados de la parte de abajo de la pieza central.

• En este punto tomaremos el aro que hicimos con antelación, lo picaremos a la mitad y moldearemos ambas partes en forma de imán.

• Con pintura al frío color roja y azul, pintaremos las puntas de la pieza para hacer los polos del imán. Lo pegaremos en ambos lados de la pieza central.

• Para proteger y plastificar, podemos aplicar varias capas de pega blanca extra fuerte dejando secar entre una capa y otra.

De esta manera finalice este Pokémon Magnemite en forma de una figura decorativa, en la técnica de quilling.
