IT HAPPENED & IT FEELS TOO DAMN GOOD!
The Philadelphia Eagles, in what was an epic SuperBowl show, brought the hardware home! Pure euphoria. I couldn’t write this out the day after - my emotions were still all over the place. I felt like it a) didn’t happen b) was just a dream. The entire day was unbelievable, and although I could type this up for days highlighting everyone who deserves a mention (Jeff Lurie, Howie Roseman, Carson Wentz, maybe God but idk), I just want to point out my appreciation for 3 individuals.
Dougy P simply outcoached Belichick and flopped his piece out in front of the world by running the exact same play as the Pats HC. Although Dougy P’s play call actually proved successful with a lob to Foles and punching it in for 6. You get a ring!
Or Nick Foles having an absolutely exceptional performance, completely composed and going head to head with the greatest quarterback of all time. You get a ring!
Or Jason Kelce’s stirring post-game speech about resilience, chipping away at your goals, and a full appreciation for taking on your challenges with an uncanny determination. Anyone who has not only played a team-sports, but has grinded out on something, kept failing toward, and finally reached the finish line, knows what I mean. I could go go off on a tangent about this piece, but please Google it. God’s honest truth, I got emotional. You could feel his words. You get a ring! 
I got to watch this team bring it home with friends, in south Philly, a few blocks away from Broad St. It was the most incredible Sunday of football I will ever experience and surely one I will never forget. It’s the type of story you tell your kids and grandkids. I cannot wait to paint the picture and set the scene for them, explaining to them what a day it was to be an Eagles fan.
