Afternoon Walk - 5km (taking it easy after a busy week)

2025-05-17T17:34:03

@dannewton just finished a 5.51km walk, that lasted for 70 minutes. This walk helped dannewton burn 432.0 calories.

Description from Strava: After completing my first full week of commuting to work by running...
ie running to work in the morning, and then running back home afterwards, and doing this 4 days a week
... I felt it would be sensible to not run this weekend. I did go out for a short walk today, partly as it is good to do some active recovery, but also to enjoy the sunshine, as it is another beautiful day here.
I walked approx 5km in a loop around the village, passing by the shops on the way to pick up snacks for tonight

And as for tonight, I'm gonna go visit my brother this evening, as his wife and daughter have gone to stay with friends for a change. My brother is still recovering from a broken leg, so can't go with them. So I'm gonna keep him company for the evening. I'm not sure if we're having a film night or if we're gonna end up watching eurovision, but I've made sure we've got plenty of snacks in either case!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
