Hi community, it's a pleasure to share a memory with you all again. I'm sure many of you are familiar with the Google Photos app, where we can upload our images to store valuable files in the cloud, and thus get more available space on our phones. Something particular about this app is that every so often, it groups a certain number of photos, by date or type, and shows them to you as memories.
Mis hijos y las 'fotos🤳🏻locas🤪' en el carro | Throwback Thursday (2018-2019)
Saludos comunidad, que gusto volver a compartir un recuerdo con ustedes. Seguro muchos están familiarizados con la aplicación Google Fotos, donde podemos cargar nuestras imágenes a fin de conservar en la nueve archivos valiosos, y así conseguir más espacio disponible en nuestros teléfonos. Algo particular de esta aplicación, es que cada cierto tiempo, agrupa cierta cantidad de fotos, por fecha o por tipo, y te las muestra como recuerdos.
That's how a series of memory photographs came to me of moments when, while in the car, my kids would say, "Crazy photo, Dad!" These moments usually happened when the three of us were waiting in the car while my wife was working. At that time, she was a salesperson and we had to visit many places; the kids were little and we had to take them with us. We did everything to distract ourselves while we waited, and that's how we took a lot of photos.
Fue así como llegaron a mi una serie de fotografías de recuerdo de momentos en los que estando en el carro, mis hijos me decían ¡una foto loca papá! Estos momentos normalmente se daban cuando los tres estábamos esperando en el carro mientras mi esposa estaba trabajando. En ese tiempo ella era vendedora y debíamos visitar muchos lugares, los niños estaban pequeños y teníamos que llevarlos con nosotros, hacíamos de todo para distraernos mientras esperábamos, fue así como tomamos muchas fotos.
The photos weren't always taken during long waiting moments; at that time between 2018 and 2019, it became a custom to take photos of ourselves while we were in the car. This led to other occasions when my kids also asked for photos with the rest of the family, and even they themselves, from their perspective, were the ones taking the photos of us. That's how we took these photos with grandpa and other family members, and now that I think about it, it was perhaps the way my kids wanted to involve everyone else.
No siempre las fotos las tomamos en medio de largos momentos de espera, en aquel momento entre el 2018 y 2019 se hacía una costumbre tomarnos fotos mientras estábamos en el carro, eso dio paso a que en otras ocasiones también mis hijos pidieran fotos con el resto de la familia, incluso ellos mismos desde su perspectiva eran los que nos tomaban la foto a nosotros. Fue así como tomamos estas fotos con el abuelo y otros miembros de la familia, y ahora que lo pienso, era la manera quizás en la que mis hijos querían involucrar a los demás.
This program seems to know how to give you a jolt of nostalgia; they seem like simple and somewhat silly photos, but for me they were a beautiful memory, a bit bittersweet too, because my kids are older now and they don't ask me to take crazy photos anymore. Now they're more serious, focused on their own things, they don't ask Dad to take a crazy photo together. Maybe I should be the one to take the initiative, showing them when we used to do it so many times, and inviting them to continue capturing beautiful memories together.
Este programa parece que supiera darte un golpe de nostalgia, parecen fotos sencillas y un tanto tontas, pero para mi fueron un bello recuerdo, un tanto agridulce también, porque ya mis hijos están más grandes y no me piden que nos tomemos fotos locas, ahora están más serios, pendientes de sus cosas, no le piden a papá tomarse juntos una foto loca, quizás el que deba tomar la iniciativa sea yo, mostrándole cuando lo haciamos tantas veces, e invitarle a seguir plasmando juntos bonitos recuerdos.
