After several weeks of medical errands where my kids spent many days alone cooped up, we decided to give them a moment of distraction and take them to the movies. My oldest son loves Marvel movies, so we went to see the new Thunderbolts flick, and since all four of us went, my younger daughter had to tag along with us. She enjoyed the family time more, munching on treats and popcorn, than actually watching the movie, so we decided to go the following week, this time to see something she would like.
Salida al cine en familia - Un respiro necesario y doblemente divertido
Tras varias semanas de diligencias médicas donde mis hijos pasaron muchos días solos encerrados, decidimos darles un momento de distracción y llevarlos al cine. Mi hijo mayor le encantan las películas de Marvel, por eso fuimos a ver la nueva de los Thunderbolts y como fuimos los cuatro, a mi hija menor le tocó entrar con nosotros. Ella disfruto más el compartir en familia, comer chucherías y cotufas, que el hecho de ver esa película, por eso decidimos ir la siguiente semana esta vez para ver algo que a ella le guste.
That's how we ended up going to the movies two Mondays. Why Mondays? Because in my country, tickets are half-price on that day, and that was the only way we could see two movies to please both of my children. The second movie we saw was Minecraft. My daughter loves it; she hasn't played the video game much, and after seeing the trailer, she thought it was funny and got even more excited to see the movie. But to be honest, the movie is pretty bad, but it has been successful thanks to being fanservice and brain rot, but that's a topic for another time.
Fue así como terminamos yendo al cine dos lunes ¿porque lunes? Porque en mi pais las entradas en este dia son a mitad de precio y solo así era posible ver dos películas para complacer a mis dos hijos. La segunda película que vimos fue Minecraft, a mi hija le encanta, ella a jugado poco el videojuego y tras ver el trailer le pareció chistoso y se emociono aun mas por ver la película, pero para ser sinceros la película es muy mala, pero ha tenido éxito gracias a ser fanservice y al brain rot, pero eso es tema para otra ocasión.
The important thing is that we had a good time. I laughed on several occasions; I'm a fan of Jack Black and his antics, and seeing my daughter laugh more than once satisfied me. It's good to have these family recreation moments; honestly, we really needed to clear our minds of worries and go out to enjoy ourselves together. It helps to recharge our batteries because the difficulties haven't disappeared yet, but we should always make room for distraction.
Lo importante es que la pasamos bien, yo me reía en varias ocasiones, soy fanático de Jack Black y sus locuras, y al ver a mi hija reirse mas de una vez me di por satisfecho. Es bueno tener estos momentos de recreación familiar, la verdad nos hacia mucha falta despejar la mente de las preocupaciones y salir juntos a disfrutar, sirve para recargar energías porque las dificultades aun no desaparecen, pero siempre debemos abrir un espacio para la distracción.
Having this moment of distraction together as a family sparked a desire in my children to do other activities. One of the things they long for most is to go to the beach, but no matter how much I try to get the car in shape for traveling, priorities get in the way, and we have to postpone it. But just as this opportunity to go to the movies came up, that one will come too.
El tener este momento de distracción juntos como familia, despertó el deseo en mis hijos de hacer otras actividades, una de las que más añoran en ir a la playa, pero por mas que intento poner el carro en condiciones para viajar, me ganan las prioridades y debemos posponer, pero asi como llego esta oportunidad de ir al cine, esa tambien llegara.
