A trip down memory lane

This past weekend I attended the grad party of my young cousin. As I sat catching up on some Steemit reading, 2 of my cousins friends were getting ready. It was hilarious, entertaining, and exhausting!
'I really like your dress!' 'Thanks! Yours is super cute too.' 'Do you think this eyeshadow is the right palete for my dress color?' 'I really like the color of this lipstick, but I'm just not feeling it.' 'I totally think you should dance with Kurtis. He is super hot.' 'Yah. But he is super shallow.' 'I love dressing up. I feel sorry for boys. They don't get to do this!'
Smiling to myself, I remembered being that age. The world was my oyster. I was going to accomplish great things. My life didn't go exactly the way I planned. Working full time in retail, becoming a single mom when my daughter was only 5 mnths old.
But you know what? I wouldn't change a thing! I have a wonderful life, my health, I've done a lot of traveling with more to come. And I have the best, most beautiful daughter!
