Ruby medicine

**original poetry**
___ lantern-2heart-sideview-thumbnail.jpg ___
Now what could hold me back? I already allowed impulse to devour me: Made myself a slave to the wretched portion, Defiled by lack of wisdom and restraint.
Yet though self-eaten, I survived To renouce that manner of living And to rise into the much-feared self.
The glorious potential that terrifies, Pearl song of transmutation and joy.
A midnight swan in the nacre sky, Phoenix of bismuth and ruby.
Nameless beauty: you are every face, You are every sin, you are every grace.
You pulled me with a hearthsome fist Through dregs and disillusionment, And still you magnetize me to Some fate unthinkable.
Blessed be the curse Of my decisions, and Thy medicine.
