I started with 2 HD7950's, then I mined enough litecoin to buy an Asus RX480. From there, I mined the rest of the cards in my collection. I only spent $300 CAD total, the rest was made through this lucrative hobby.
In today's current Graphics Card market, this collection is worth roughly $1200+. Not only did I make $900 ontop of my initial $300 investment, but I also paid the bills while doing so. My decision truly became pure profit, it was fun to be on the mining train while it lasted, but its become way more profitable to exclusively use steemit.
