Hello Friends!

You might be thinking… great… another workout video on Steemit, but hear me out! I’m sure that I’m not the only one who struggles to find the motivation to workout. Honestly, I’d rather be spending time on Steemit or watching Netflix.

Que up the Lazy Girl Workout…

Where we don’t Netflix and Chill… we Netflix and Crunch.

In this workout, you’ll find a list of super approachable exercises that will give you a good workout, but aren’t SO crazy and intense that you decide to skip them. Think I’m joking about the whole Netflix and Crunch thing? Seriously people, turn on your favorite show while you are doing these exercises! It will make the time go by faster and you won’t even feel like you working out.

Most of these exercises are things you are probably familiar with… but please watch the video for a live example.

This is a No Burpee Zone!!

-Plank

-Down Dog with Leg Pumps

-Butt Kicks

-Jump Squats

-Lunges

-Basic Crunch

-Bicycle Crunch

-Bridge Lifts

-Bridge Lifts with Leg Extensions

-Scissor Kicks

-Oblique Plank

-Mountain Climbers

-Donkey Kicks

-Down Dog with Leg Pumps

There is Only One Rule…

Part of the “Lazy Girl Way” is that I’m not even going to tell you how many reps to do! I only ask ONE thing… that you do the exercise until you feel the burn, and then do five more. This really leaves a lot of room for you to approach this workout in whatever way works best for you. If you want to go easy on the reps, and it takes you longer to feel the burn – go for it! If you want to be in and out super-fast though… then hit it hard so you feel that burn faster – do five more and you’re done.

Even though this is called a Lazy Workout… if you don’t feel a burn… you aren’t going to see results.

Sometimes You Just Need to Get Started

The point of doing a workout like this, is to break down the barriers that are holding you back from just starting. Sometimes the idea of going out for a run or hitting it hard at the gym can make us just choose to sit on the couch instead. This workout requires no equipment and you can even do it while catching up on your favorite shows… so it’s a lot easier to say YES and start working out.

If you are feeling all amped up after doing a round of these exercises… feel free to take a short break and do the whole circuit again! Who knows, maybe you’ll find a little extra fire. If not though… you can still feel good about the fact that you did one round of exercises and got in a great workout.

What Did You Think?

I am no physical trainer… just a “lazy girl” trying to motivate herself to work out more regularly and hopefully encourage a few other people to do the same. If you are interested in seeing more Lazy Girl Workouts in the future, let me know in the comments below!

Ps… Despite the name, this could be a great workout for both guys and gals!
