Hi Steemit Friends!

A huge part of what makes Steemit so great is the authentic sense of community. There is a lot of emphasis on building relationships, connecting with those who share similar interests and investing in one another.

The other day I got to thinking about how we usually build friendships in our regular, non-steemit lives. :) There are usually two main ways that we make friendships as an adult.

  1. Through similar activities or interests. Maybe you are both part of a running group, a book club, or a yoga class.

  2. Through Mutual Friends.

I think we as a community are great at building connections around similar interests...but what about introducing mutual friends? Maybe you run across someone's post and it really makes you think of another steemit user. Maybe they have similar styles, senses of humor, interests, or values. Why not mention that to them? Maybe they have already found that steemian...but if not, I bet they would appreciate finding someone new to connect with!

This is something I try to think about, especially when meeting new users. It's great to introduce them to people who I think they would connect with.

Please listen to my Dtube Vlog for more of my thoughts on this subject. I'd love to hear your feedback! Is this something that you currently do, or think would be helpful?

Ps... if you ever have a steemian friend you think i'd connect with.. please introduce us! I love meeting new people. <3
