A while back I talked about doing videos. Finally pulled the trigger on a green screen.
Nothing fancy. It is just a 5x7 foot sheet. Cost me about $10 USD. I really don't need some elaborate studio setup to get started. Just need something that works.
Still waiting for it to arrive. But I've already been watching videos on how to use it with OBS. Doesn't look that hard.
Not sure what I'll use for a background yet. Maybe something related to the business. Maybe just something clean and professional. I'll figure it out once I start playing with it.
The goal is to make my presentation videos look a little more polished. Right now it's just me and whatever happens to be behind me. Which is usually a wall or a mess I shoved out of frame. Not exactly professional.
A green screen gives me options. I can put myself anywhere. Or nowhere. Just floating in front of content. Whatever works for what I'm trying to communicate. I am somewhat excited about the potential.
It's a small investment for potentially better looking videos. If it doesn't work out I'm only out ten bucks. If it does work I've upgraded my production value for less than the cost of lunch.
Baby steps. Get the green screen. Learn to use it. Make some videos.
We will see what happens.

Thanks for reading,
Joe
