Welcome to the Alpha test for the Circa ecosystem, a collaborative timebanking network. Circa is designed to empower open-source projects through the distribution of income gained via ambassador-driven campaigns.
How to Participate
Generate a Key
Visit https://circa.systems and navigate to the Alphacode registration page. The Alphacode is a combination key that consists of a **user key**, and a **beta key**. To create your Alphacode, follow the steps outlined on the form to set your **uKey**, and retrieve your **betaKey** from the Registration Log. Link Steem Account
To connect your Steem account to your newly created Alphacode, navigate to the Steem-Link page, complete and submit the webform. Finally, validate your account by sending the word *join* to @Circa.
Set Account Variables
Once verified, you can set your account variables by sending the following commands to the Circa network, as shown below. Your title can be viewed on the [network overview page](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vzYhMo8kxWeUZR8oulPVSulDh6DQDvrpzitbhOYUPn0/edit#gid=1949537119), which tracks posts, earnings, and followers of @Circa.
Once created, each Alphacode has the ability to earn time within the ecosystem. Initially, time can be earned in the [**Engagement Portal**](https://circa.systems/engage) by submitting feedback (**Engage**) and recognizing (**Recognize**) outstanding posts on Steem. **To earn time in the Alpha test, please submit feedback with the memo *Alpha***. Each qualified feedback report will earn an allocation of tokens.
**At the current time, the flat rate for the Alpha testing period is roughly $1 (USD) / 60 minutes. The repurchase agreement for the Alpha period can be viewed below**

The Circa project hopes to become the first information services community that allows individuals and organizations to tap directly into the value inherent to information networks. We are working to develop an economic service that recognizes and respects data as a public source of value. It is to the detriment of the [Commons](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commons) that modern banking technologies do not have the ability to recognize and store public data as an asset. Circa is grounded and dedicated to the pursuance of a more democratic future where the general public is empowered through the ownership and management of its data.
Cooperative Timebanking
**The Marriage of Data and the Sharing Economy**
By contributing to activities and projects managed on the Steem blockchain, Circa participants can earn time-based tokens which provide representative ownership of the data contributed. When that data earns value on the Steem blockchain, income generated is split between network participants. You can earn a recurring income by hodling your tokens, or you can sell your tokens on the @wavesplatform DEX for a flat price. The Circa network will agree to repurchase distributed tokens through an open set of electronic contract agreements.
