Guten Tag zusammen, Salut and Hi!
I´m a german citizen, son of a french mum and a german dad, of course also english speaking.
It´s been a long time ago that I had english at school. Due to my profession (financial consultant) and due to my hobby (reading books in english or french) I stay in practice. But please, don´t be too severe when I make some faults in writing - thank you!
I suggest that much of you as me have come to Steemit after having an account on facebook, google or you tube. Also I have another account on wordpress and I´m administrator for other accounts in the social media.
And now this: steemit. A brandnew thing for me which I want do deplore the next time. Perhaps I find someone to help me doing it right.
Who am I?
Yes, that´s me! Cute and very chick, am I not?
As you can see, I´m a boy. I wear a blue romper suit.
After going to school, I joined the army.
I became Helicopter-Pilot. Not a bad thing.
It was a peaceful time. We had to transport some generals from location A to location B.
We had to take care of our fitness, so we did a lot of sports.
But none of us was sent to war, none of us could even imagine to take part in a war; not really.
This changed when the wall fell down and east-germany and west-germany became one nation.
In 1989 / 1990 the army changed its directives and furtheron german soldiers would have to take part in international actions.
And of course they would need Pilots.
I decided to leave the army. It was in the first line a moralic and ethic desision and I never had regrets for this decision.
I missed not being a pilot for the rest of my life. It had been great - but the decision was correct.
What to do after beeing a soldier for ten years?
Fortunately I had studied economics at the wonderful town of Hamburg and so I tried to enter the banking scene.
I tried it my way. I didn`t become a clerk or an agent, no I wanted to stay independent.
That was hard. Imagine you get your payment regularly every month and then - nothing at all.
It took me 2 years till I earned enough for me and my family, but I - we - were successful.
My next step was to build a house. It had to be big enough for my family, my office and and an extra appartment for renters.
I´m just sitting in my office and writing this text now; yes I realised this dream and I´m today an owner of a nice house.
To be successful in my profession one have to stay update. I attended several courses at the local chamber of commerce.
In 2008, after the subprime-crisis, I wondered if there is another explication for the crash and I found the theory of Ludwig von Mises, von Hayek, and so on.
In 2011 I attended a course in Vienna to learn the stuff.
Since this time I changed my view on things that happen in the world. One can say, the contact to the doctrine of these scolars changed everything.
Today I try to explain the world of money to my clients, not to simple sell some products.
My profession is now moralic and ethic one thing.
And with this in mind I think to do a good job for them and for us.
What I intend to write on steemit in the next weeks and months is a little bit of everything. Not too complicate, not too simple as well. Perhaps sometime funny and other times more serious.
It would be a pleasure if I find some people who are willing to excahnge their thougts with me.
