I reading this book right now.

I always been an urban dweller, but ever since I was I an adult and married, I was interested in the off-grid/self sufficient/homestead life. In this book, 'off grid' means not being hooked up to any municipal utility, such as electric, water, etc.

At first, I thought u just need some chickens and a few solar panels and boom.. u are living off grid. well, i guess its not quite that easy or simple.

so here are many reasons why one might choose to live off grid and I just wanted to note them down here..

  • it makes u self sufficient (u worry about urself)

  • its sustainable

  • u rely on renewable energy

  • environmentally responsible

  • appreciate and closer to nature

  • it makes u to be more physically active

  • very rewarding

  • more activity, less stress

  • get out of consumerism rat race

  • grow and harvest own food.. more healthy

  • fresh air

  • build ur own stuff

  • independence

  • peaceful, quiet, calm

  • and don't for the CHICKENS!!
