While in Aberdeen today I dropped by Topp's Barbecue - which is not related to the Topp's barbecue chain out of Memphis, btw.
I wasn't sure what to order, but the gentleman behind the counter recommended the rib tips. I got fried green tomatoes and potato salad for the sides.
I ordered the sauce on the side since I had to get it to go and didn't want to drip anything in the car. The tips didn't need them. Smoked just right with a little crunch on the outside, moist and tender when you but through, these rib tips were some of the tastiest I've had.
The restaurant is close to Food Giant in a building that could use a little TLC, but the food is spot on.
