Ciao, lovely people of the @worldmappin community! I hope you're all doing well. I’d love to share our first adventure in Milan with you. So sit back, relax, and let me take you there.

This was our first time visiting the world of fashion — Milan. We came not only to explore the city, but also to visit my cousin who lives here. The journey wasn’t exactly fun because of the heavy traffic when we traveled. Normally, the drive would take about three hours, but it ended up taking us almost six hours on the road. Still, we arrived safely at my aunt’s house, and that’s what truly mattered.

We had a little catch-up and grabbed something to eat since we arrived quite late. The next morning, we first looked for a charging station because the car was already out of battery. After finding one, we booked an Uber to one of the most well-known spots in the city to begin our exploration.

This is Duomo di Milano - the heart and symbol of the city. A very amazing Gothic cathedral that took nearly six centuries to complete according to research. This is one of the most stunning landmarks in Italy. Standing in front of it feels surreal!

We truly enjoyed exploring the area around this beautiful landmark. There were quite a lot of tourists during our visit, which made the place feel even more lively and vibrant. As we walked around, we couldn’t help but notice the many luxury and designer stores nearby. Milan is world-renowned for its fashion houses, and this is exactly what makes the city stand out from other countries.

I also loved seeing the doves right in the middle of the square, playfully interacting with people. You can actually buy some bird food and feed them, and in no time, these lovely doves will gather around you — perfect for taking photos. It was such an amazing and heartwarming sight to see.

We continued walking around and soon found a cozy coffee shop, so we stopped for a quick coffee break. After that, we decided to go somewhere else to eat pizza. As you all know, Italy is famous for having the best pizza, so we couldn’t leave without trying one. We found a great restaurant that we would definitely recommend — their pizza was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed our day exploring the city.

There’s still so much more to see, but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time. We’re definitely coming back to Milan to explore even more! I hope you all like our little adventure in this lovely busy Fashion City. ;)
Until my next adventure!
