Hello, Hiver friends and art lovers! I hope you’re having a fantastic day filled with joy. I’m excited to share my new coffee painting I created today.
This delightful piece captures the essence of serene solitude through the rich hues of coffee. The warm browns create a delightful atmosphere, reminiscent of a peaceful winter wonderland. Picture a cheerful figure under an umbrella, playfully enjoying the gentle dance of falling snow and leaves all around. The overall effect radiates a sense of calm and happiness, inviting you to pause and reflect on life's simple pleasures.
The unique texture of the coffee adds an inviting depth to the painting, enhancing the warmth of winter's embrace. With its simplicity and emotional richness, this artwork is sure to uplift your spirits and spark your imagination. I hope it brings a smile to your face!
I used three types of painting brushes for this piece, and it took me an hour to finish it. For those who are interested in trying this unique medium, you can follow the step-by-step basic methods below.
Materials Needed:
πŸ‘‰ Watercolor Paper or sketching Paper
πŸ‘‰ Pencil and Eraser
πŸ‘‰ Coffee Powder
πŸ‘‰ 2 small cups ( lighter and darker shades)
πŸ‘‰ Ruler
πŸ‘‰ Clean Water
πŸ‘‰ Rag
πŸ‘‰ Paper napkin or paper towel
Brushes:
πŸ‘‰ Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
πŸ‘‰ Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm
πŸ‘‰ Filbert brush
Note: Keep all the materials ready before you start painting.
Basic Procedure:
β€’ Outline or sketch your painting reference.
β€’ Paint using a lighter shade of the background by creating a beautiful texture.
β€’ On the middle ground, paint the first layer of the subject.
β€’ The same procedure with the foreground.
β€’ Once the first layer is completely dry, you can proceed to paint with a darker shade of coffee.
β€’ Then add details to come alive of your painting. I used a liner brush for the thin details.
Take note: In putting details, you cannot have sharp lines and shapes unless it is completely dry.
