I remember last year, in December, I was quite sad because in October my older sister's husband had died, whom my brothers and I have always considered as a second father, however, when December 20 arrived (the date of our wedding anniversary) my husband wanted to do something special to cheer me up and also to celebrate our day, so he took me to a place where we had a delicious typical Christmas dish from my country (Venezuela) which consisted of hallaca (a kind of meat pie), chicken salad and ham bread (it was delicious).
Recuerdo que el año pasado, en diciembre, yo estaba bastante triste porque en octubre había muerto el esposo de mi hermana mayor, a quien mis hermanos y yo siempre hemos considerado como un segundo padre, sin embargo, cuando llegó el 20 de diciembre (la fecha de nuestro aniversario de bodas) mi esposo quiso hacer algo especial para animarme y también para celebrar nuestro día, así que me llevó a un lugar en el que almorzamos un delicioso plato típico navideño de mi país (Venezuela) que constaba de hallaca (una especie de pastel de carne) ensalada de pollo y pan de jamón (estaba delicioso)
Lugo we went for a walk in the north of the city where there were lots of Christmas decorations and lights, so I was really recovering my usual mood, plus he and I also remembered beautiful moments that we lived in our wedding, anecdotes that will remain for posterity. The truth is that when I look at that wedding photo, when we were leaving the church, I realize how young we were and it is amazing to see how time has passed. The photo in person looks much better than the one I'm showing you now, since I had to take a picture of it with my cell phone 😄.
Lugo fuimos a dar un paseo por el norte de la ciudad donde había muchísimos adornos y luces navideñas, así que de verdad fui recuperando mi ánimo habitual, además también él y yo recordamos hermosos momentos que vivimos en nuestra boda, anécdotas que quedarán para la posteridad. La verdad que cuando contemplo esa foto de bodas, cuando estábamos saliendo de la iglesia, me doy cuenta de lo jóvenes que éramos y resulta increíble ver como ha pasado el tiempo. La foto en persona se ve mucho mejor que la que yo les estoy mostrando ahora, ya que tuve que tomarle una foto con mi celular 😄.
Frankly I am very grateful to God for all the years we have spent together, 44 years are easy to say, but obviously it is not easy, especially at the beginning when we started living together. They have been years of mutual trust, respect and above all love to cement the foundations of our family. God willing, in December of this year we will celebrate 45 years of marriage and I hope we continue to maintain the same love and the same values of respect, trust and mutual understanding 😍.
Francamente le agradezco mucho a Dios por todos los años que hemos pasado juntos, 44 años se dicen fácilmente, pero obviamente que no es sencillo, sobre todo al inicio cuando empezamos a convivir. 😊 Han sido años de confianza mutua, de respeto y sobre todo amor para cimentar las bases de nuestra familia. Dios mediante en diciembre de este años cumpliremos 45 años de casados y espero que sigamos manteniendo el mismo amor y los mimos valores de respeto, confianza y comprensión mutua 😍.
