Hola gente hermosa de @family-friends permítanme mostrarles un poco de lo que fue mi fin de semana pasando tiempo de calidad con la familia extendida, ya que realmente son muy pocos los momentos así, se trata de la celebración de cumpleaños de dos de mis sobrinas (una cumple años el 12 y la otra el 15 de marzo). En mi familia gracias a Dios siempre hemos sido muy unidos y mis sobrinos los considero hijos. Hemos pasado momentos difíciles juntos y nos hemos brindado apoyo, de modo que cuando nos reunimos en familia a pasar un buen rato y celebrar la vida siento que mi corazón se llena de gratitud y felicidad.
Hello beautiful people of @family-friends let me show you a little bit of what my weekend was like spending quality time with the extended family, since there are really very few moments like this, it was the birthday celebration of two of my nieces (one has her birthday on March 12th and the other on March 15th). In my family, thanks to God, we have always been very close and I consider my nieces and nephews as my children. We have been through difficult times together and have been supportive, so when we get together as a family to have a good time and celebrate life I feel my heart fills with gratitude and happiness.
Iniciamos decorando la casa, mi hija menor, mi hermano y mis otras sobrinas se dedicaron a eso mientras yo supervisaba el trabajo porque honestamente aunque sé de manualidades no tengo mucha iniciativa para hacer decoraciones de fiesta 😄 adentro (en la cocina) otros sobrinos andaban buscando "robarse" los entremeses que repartiríamos más tarde entre los invitados 😄 era muy divertido verlos esconderse en medio de risas.
We started decorating the house, my youngest daughter, my brother and my other nieces dedicated themselves to that while I supervised the work because honestly although I know about crafts I don't have much initiative to make party decorations 😄 inside (in the kitchen) other nieces and nephews were looking for “stealing” the hors d'oeuvres that we would distribute later among the guests 😄 it was very funny to see them hiding amidst laughter.
Mi hermano menor es el tío loco de la familia, siempre está haciendo reír a todos con sus ocurrencias y las cosas que dice, ese día decidió ayudar con la decoración porque según él estaba quedando chueca, pero la verdad es que el espacio que eligieron para ese fin era muy pequeño, así que era difícil poner todas las decoraciones allí, pero con mi hermano al mando de la misión las risas estaban garantizadas.
My younger brother is the crazy uncle of the family, he is always making everyone laugh with his witticisms and the things he says, that day he decided to help with the decoration because according to him it was getting crooked, but the truth is that the space they chose for that purpose was very small, so it was difficult to put all the decorations there, but with my brother in charge of the mission the laughs were guaranteed.
A pesar de todo y contra todo pronóstico la decoración quedó bien y mis sobrinas quedaron complacidas.
In spite of everything and against all odds the decoration turned out well and my nieces were pleased.
Mientras los muchachos y muchachas estaban bailando adentro de la casa mi esposo, mi hermano, mis cuñados y yo decidimos reunirnos afuera para contar viejas anécdotas, fue bastante divertido escuchar los cuentos de mi cuñado, él es el esposo de una de mis hermanas que falleció, y yo le estoy muy agradecido porque la hizo muy feliz mientras ella vivía. Reuniones como estas nos llenan de vida, nos hacen recordar el pasado con alegría y sentirnos agradecidos por la familia que tenemos.
While the boys and girls were dancing inside the house my husband, my brother, my brother-in-laws and I decided to meet outside to tell old anecdotes, it was quite funny to listen to my brother-in-law's stories, he is the husband of one of my sisters who passed away, and I am very grateful to him because he made her very happy while she was alive. Reunions like these fill us with life, make us remember the past with joy and feel grateful for the family we have.
En el momento de cantar el cumpleaños nos divertimos mucho también, y no solo cantamos la extensa canción de cumpleaños, sino que después hicimos fila para felicitar a las cumpleañeras y darles nuestras bendiciones como usualmente acostumbramos a hacer en mi país (Venezuela)
At the moment of singing the birthday we had a lot of fun too, and not only did we sing the long birthday song, but afterwards we lined up to congratulate the birthday girls and give them our blessings as we usually do in my country (Venezuela).
La verdad es que cada día me siento más bendecida y agradecida con Dios por la familia y las amistades que tengo, y por eso precisamente es que hay que celebrar la vida. Muchas gracias por su atención, amigos, les mando abrazos virtuales y muchas bendiciones 😃 😘.
The truth is that every day I feel more blessed and grateful to God for the family and friendships I have, and that is precisely why we must celebrate life. Thank you very much for your attention, friends, I send you virtual hugs and many blessings 😃 😘.
