I learned and played poker in Henry Street's High School poker club for all four years of high school and visited the club on my breaks from college, where I semi-managed the poker clubs communications between alumni, students, and special guests via social media and email. Following the club obtaining a modest level of prominence I was featured in both an article and interview by Wall Street Journal, which illustrated the clubs essence and functionality balanced with the every-day social and educational requirements of high school life - of course, poker being taught and played in school at any grade level remains a controversial topic for some.
