Curry is an Indian cuisine that has spread worldwide and has gained popularity especially in Korea and Japan. In the East Asian region, it is usually served as 'Curry Rice', Rice with Curry sauce on top of it. The main ingredient is derived from the root of a tumeric (Curcuma longa). The yellowish color of curry is derived from 'Curcumine'. Studies indicate anti-cancer effects by inducing apoptosis, and is an anti-inflammatory agent. It is also a bit spicy due to 6-Shogaol, which gives curry its slight spicy taste.
