Hello, amazing friends of @ladiesofhive, it was a great week indeed. I trust you are doing great. Welcome to my blog, sagacious ladies and gentlemen.

This week, I chose to dwell on the number two of the prompt from @cautiva-30, which asks:
It's true that Valentine's Day is the day of love, but also of friendship!… So I ask you: Who should you love first? Who is your best friend?

Just as historians have told us, Valentine's Day was meant to celebrate Faunus, the god of agriculture in the Roman Empire. They also use that day for purification and fertility celebration with respect to agriculture,
Later, history has it that Saint Valentine, widely known for his part in the revolutionising of Valentine’s Day into the modern-day belief. He played a major role by performing hidden marriages because the emperor of the Roman Empire, Claudius, banned marriages in order to have many men battle-ready. That act of Saint Valentine led to his arrest and subsequent execution.

At a wedding on a Valentine's Day
Fast forward to our modern-day Valentine’s Day, the above two histories led to the transformation of Valentine’s Day to a day of love, exchange of gifts, and hearty greetings by loved ones in their different cadres. Today, every Dick, Tom, and Harry celebrate love and have something to say each Valentine’s Day. It has been completely rebranded as a day to paint the world Red with love in everyone’s way. Yes, Valentine's Day is a day of love and friendship in all ramifications.
However, love has different levels. There are limitations and levels I can go with my friends, likewise when the love is romantic. Meaning, it can’t be at surface level again; it goes beyond that to deeper things. So, I would say I love my friends, and to me, my level of relationship with them depends on the intent and purpose. What it is meant to achieve, and might not necessarily be a case of who I love first.

Having said that, my husby is my best friend, my confidant, and my close associate. There are certain levels of discussion and intimacy I can’t share with my friends that he is privy to. This is because of the level and nature of the relationship existing between us.
Therefore, everyone in my life has their roles and level of reach to my life, and they are all remembered, appreciated, and celebrated during festive seasons as well as Valentine.
