Choosing Calm, and Focus Over Worry Is My Daily Anthem (#270)

Hello #ladiesofhive, compliments of the season. I trust that we are hale and hearty, and hearty enjoy either the winter or the harmattan. I welcome you all to my blog. We have been given two questions to attempt this week, and I chose to make my contribution to the first one that says:

Life is too short to worry too much: How do you like to start your mornings?

BĀBI
Sincerely, life is actually too short to worry about it every time. It is a popular saying that the way an individual wakes up and starts the day sets the tone for the day. It can make or mar the day. This is both emotional and physical. So I do sleep with my little mp3 Bluetooth on, spewing songs which include the Maranatha, Jim Reeves, Naija gospel, and other songs to start my mornings.

So, I wake up most times feeling relaxed, quiet, and calm. Occasionally, I wake up feeling stressed and not wanting to even go out. Those times, my mornings start very slowly, while I feel lazy and weird.

However, for each of the different patterns I mentioned above, I do not rush out of bed; I wake and most times sit beside my bed for ten to fifteen minutes, talking to myself, and speaking to the day. Kneel beside my little corner to say my prayer. Sometimes, after that, I flip through my phone to check a few websites, including the Hive blockchain, to perform a few activities. After that, I start preparing for work.

Next will be my teatime, most times, I will be preparing and sipping my tea because at that point, my target would be to rush and leave home before the traffic starts building. However, inside the car, I will flip through some of my activities for yesterday and peek through my action plan for the day. I set my action plans straight with clarity and simplicity to avoid stress and pressure, as life is too short. So I set targets that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound.

With that, my mind is peaceful and at rest to start my morning with gratitude for being alive, setting simple goals, and an opportunity to add value and make impacts for the day, knowing that worrying will only steal my joy for the day and leave me empty.

So, I start my mornings with calmness and focus, knowing that life is too short to worry too much; rather, I give myself the best and take every morning, one day at a time.
