I live offgrid in the Dominican Republic - farming cacao, bananas, and avocados mostly - but really I am just retired. I was a chemical engineer in the environmental consulting business until 2001, when my wife and I went sailboat cruising for several years. Along the way, we stopped a couple of places to teach school. I enjoy reading about nature, science, economics, artificial intelligence, and philosophy. I use a laptop with Ubuntu, and an Amazon tablet. I have two dogs and a pickup truck.
