the market has incredible selections of cheeses, fruits, and meats. I was so impressed that the quality of food was definitely better than other grocery markets.

Now the fruit I chose to do is the Quince. The Quince is a relative of the apple and pear and belongs to the pome fruit family. Today, the quince is also found in Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States, but is much less important commercially that the apple or pear. It is used to make jam, jelly and quince pudding, or they may be peeled, then roasted, baked or stewed. The reason I chose Quince was I've never actually tried a Quince by itself before, it smelled fragrant, also appearance was attractive. I chose my Quince by large, firm, and yellow with no green and it must be handled carefully as they bruise easily
Sensory Evaluation
Sight - A Quince is a round, sphere - shaped fruit. It looks like a big yellow apple, Once cut it half, it has a white interior and little sections where the seeds are stored. The seeds are red brown, about the same colour as a dried plum.
Touch - A Quince tends to be quite firm compared to other fruits. Depending on the quality, the inside is dry.
Smell - This is strength of Quince. It smells so good. I can’t think of a single, suitable word to describe it.
Taste - Similar to an apple but more dry and texture is quite tough.I would say they are rather bitter, after cooking it mellows the bitterness and picks up the sweetness of the cooking liquid.
How to cook quince

Properly wash the quinces
Slice the quinces

Place sliced quince, 250g sugar and add water almost to top of quince.
Bring to a boil, then simmer until turn in to brood orange color, soft and liquid is reduced. For me, this was about 1.5 hours.
