She tripped and fell and broke her hip. She did not want to have surgery because she was afraid she would die❤ She went to a nursing home to heal and they did not do such a good job at her dialysis which led to infection. The infection led to sepsis.
And so...
This morning, 4 years ago today, we were in the ICU holding the hand of a woman who was a beautiful wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, friend, a second mom to me and many others, my Aunt Roberta. Her soul began her dance with Jesus and Elvis.
It does not seem like 4 years has passed❤
She has imprinted her legacy of love and strength into so many peoples hearts and I believe she lives on through each and every one of us. On October 7, 2012, our birthday, I wrote her a poem and told her I wanted to write a book about her life and that was supposed to be my gift to her. Unfortunately, we did not have time to get that done...
So, love all the people in your life, even the ones who are different then you and pursue the dreams in your heart. Tomorrow is always a gift and never a guarantee❤
Sending hugs and love to the Kotschi family. Aunt Roberta will never be forgotten❤
