*How do you deny a feeling so true
In the face of this monster
You blatantly ignore it's existence
Emotions can be so cruel
Blighting rational thoughts
Rendering even the most intelligent vulnerable
How can you be so versed in matters of the heart
And fall repeatedly to the same curse
I guess knowledge isn't enough in avoiding it
Wisdom is just as important
I've been here before
In the not too distant past
Falling for someone who isn't mine
A forbidden fruit
But what do you do when such a thought
Eats deep into your very soul
With every passing 'dreamful' nights
And thoughtful days
All I see is this fellow
I guess you can call me foolish
Mindless, vulnerable and stupid at times
I doubt a million counselling will make it right
But deep inside, I know it isn't right
Maybe some souls are just so connected
Good thing is I've found my bane early
It's easy to judge another man
When you haven't stepped into their shoes
Or feel what they've felt
Like a sage said, some things are just irresistible
Usually leads to our death
