Hi everyone.
My name is Andres Arevalo. A civil engineer by profession. I am a proud product of Rizal Technological University and graduated 21 years ago.
Before I took the board examination in 2000, I became a service crew of Tropical Hut Hamburger, Betterliving Branch in Paranaque City while having a review. A month before the exam I resigned to concentrate in my review. Luckily on May 2000 I passed the board.
The following month, I applied as Field/Geotechnical Engineer at Geotesting International Incorporated in Makati City. Actually I was recommenced by my schoolmate, Cecille (also a licensed engineer now) who was having an on-the-job training that time.
After more than six years working at Geotesting and been to a lot of place around the Philippines, an opportunity came to me to work abroad.
I worked abroad from 2007 up to 2019 as Quality Control and Quality Assurance Engineer in Qatar and UAE for infrastructures and roads project, including Hamad International Airport.
Currently I am working as Senior Construction Project Engineer in a construction project management company and is assigned here in Cebu.
I have two kids with twelve and a half years gap. They are both boys. The eldest just turned 14 and the youngest is just 18 months.

My wife is a also a civil engineer and we came from the same university. I am two years ahead of her. She worked also in different engineering companies local and abroad. Now she is Group Lead Engineer in Otis-Concepcion Elevator Company. She is handling elevator and escalator installations on some of the Ortigas Group of Companies projects.
I love singing. I run/jog sometimes as hobby and basketball once in a while.
Writing is very close to my heart and I hope that this platform will help me a lot to pursue it.
