I've gotta warn you, I am running on less than five hours of sleep right now, so I am not sure how cohesive this post is going to be. Trust me, it won't be a crap post, I have some really good photos to share from the weekend, but I just don't know right now how much sense it is going to make.
The weekend started off pretty decent on Friday with a regular day of work and then a quick trip to a couple of places after work. First we had to run to the grocery store and have our groceries loaded up into the back of the car. Then we had to run to Costco to pick up egg whites. Due to the egg shortage they have been hit or miss with their inventory. We got an alert that they finally had some, so
@mrsbozz wanted to run in and pick some up.
Finally, we stopped to pick up some BBQ for dinner from a local place and settled in for what we thought would be a quiet night.
I've started to realize as much as I love BBQ, there are a lot of places that just don't do it very well, but they still charge an arm and a leg for it. I think I would prefer to do it myself.
My buddy
@a4xjeeper picked up a custom smoker from
Cotton Gin Smokers, and I have to admit, I am a bit jealous. It's pretty sweet looking.

As I said, we were going to settle in for a quiet night, but then
@diamonddave's wife called who just happens to be
@diamonddave's best friend and asked if it was okay to stop by for a few drinks. We were happy to have her and she stayed for a couple of hours chatting and catching up with us. It was nice.
Saturday morning was cold, but my wife and I braved the cold to watch our nephew play softball in a nearby town. Unfortunately, their team didn't do very well, but this is only his second or third year playing and I have a feeling they will get better as they go. I'll probably cover more of the game on my
@bozz.sports account.
The rest of the day Saturday we just relaxed and spent some time working around the house. I stepped outside for a quick second to grab the opening photo you see. It's a pretty tree in our front yard that has been flowering this Spring.

Sunday morning I went to church to sit through service with my parents, but when I arrived there was a fire truck in the parking lot. Shortly after that an ambulance pulled in. It appears someone had a medical emergency in the first service and they had to call 911. As far as I know the person ended up being okay. They had the second service as planned, and then I went home.

The rest of the day on Sunday is why I got so little sleep last night. Around 2 PM we headed down to Detroit, MI to go see the music artist Drake White at a venue called
St. Andrews Hall. It's one of the few concert venues in Detroit that I haven't yet been to, so I was kind of excited.

We met some friends for dinner before the show at a place called
Sweetwater Tavern, and then we hung out in the parking lot before the show started. I'll be writing more about both of those later in the week.

The show was great, but it didn't finish until about 11:00 PM. Getting out of the city was pretty easy, but we still had a two hour drive home, so we didn't pull into our driveway until just about 12:30 at night. The friend we went with were a little smarter and they got a hotel and spent the night there, but we didn't want to take the day off work today, so we slept in a little, but still managed to drag our butts into the office.
I actually feel like I have a bit of a "second wind" right now, but I have a feeling I am going to crash really hard sometime this afternoon. Wish me luck!
