Introduction
Hey all, I hope all of you are doing great thus far for the week. I am back again to do a brawl report from the latest brawl that concluded about a days ago and glad that I am able to gather my thoughts and pen down the outcome of this brawl for my future learning from mistakes I made etc before the next brawl starts. This report serves as a documentation of my past battles to allow me to learn better and find out the gaps in my collection that needs additional boost. Playing in a much stronger tier brawl was never going to a walk in the park, hence there will be loads to learn and to be ready.
Let's get right on into the various matches.
Brawl Matches
Recently I have been cycling between both wild and modern fray. Haven't found what truly works for me so I will continue tinkering and see how each one works out. So let's dive in to the matches I had and do some reflections on how I can do better for next brawl.
Comment: For this match I had a double healing capability planned to give Quora a boost and indeed this is useful as I was able to outlast my opponent and clear off opponent Quora before tearing Slipspawn apart. A nice win.
Comment: Reverse speed and also needing armour. This essentially made it hard for me as I do not have that many cards to fulfil this requirement. Tough match as I was fully zapped by magic attackers.
Comment: Wow Mylor, a card that is rarely seen for me. And I know this is arch nemesis for melee cards. For a melee match, I guess the outcome will be quite brutal where my cards died and did not have enough heal for them to outlast.
Comment: Oshannus play a big part in this match where it easily clear off my opponent lineup. The thing about Oshannus is that the stats is great and is not easy to fight against. Another nice win.
Remarks: Another match that I call upon the goodness of Oshannus but this time round, I backed it up with a healer and also a sacrificial martyr card that will boost its stats and power through all the lineup. Another great win with Oshannus.
Remarks: Not sure what got into me that I chose other cards to fill the lineup instead of using Quora which is the queen of brawls. Once able to grow, she chew up my whole lineup with ease as my supposedly reverse speed cards also gave way.
Remarks: Looks really intimidating when my opponent used his lineup which had a rare Gladius card with opportunity. However, Commander Slade stood tall with Oshannus hold the backline. The blast was too tough to handle and we manage to clear off card by card and brought myself to another win.
Brawl Results
I am assigned only 8 matches for this brawl of which I win only 5 out of the 8 matches with 1 additional free win from missing frays from other guild not filling up and 1 fled opponent. I think there were a few moment of brilliance from Oshannus selection that is worth remembering.
We came in at position 7, poorer than last brawl and we missed the 6th position due to a single win difference. Definitely we need to work on winning more and also on the recruitment front to gather more people so that frays can be filled without giving away free wins.
Closing
I think I am slowly learning to use my collection better but for sure more cards need to be added to do better in brawls. Let's continue to work hard and try to get better results in the future.
See you next time when the new brawl ends!
