In an increasingly ugly and unbearable world, only beauty can save us. This is my opinion, which is a bit forced and not always true. It doesn't apply to everyone; everyone has their views and problems.
I believe that beauty can make us forget the bad, at least for a while.
These thoughts came over me when I reviewed photos from my first trip to Greece in September 2017.
On any trip and any place we visit, we have it all, the good and the bad. Now, almost eight years later, I realize that I forgot the bad ones and remember the good ones, thanks to the photos. We photograph more of what is beautiful, don't we?
So, continuing the series of memories from Greece, from the island of Thassos, I think I need something nice and I will show what a small beach and a small resort on my daily route from Limenaria to Potos, a 5.5 km distance for morning coffee (of course, just an excuse for a nice walk).
This is Pefkari in September 2017.
A few hotels, villas, vacation houses, camping, terraces, miniature golf, and a beach.

Here I saw sea water with such a color and transparency for the first time.

Beauty must be contemplated and thirst quenched. A break was always welcome, especially as the heat was growing stronger.
It was vacation and other habits than in the monotonous life of the city where I live, where I don't like going to terraces to drink beer or sodas.
Nothing compares to this... The sea!

Not everyone goes sunbathing on the beach, and I've seen others who are "thirstier" than I am!

Unfortunately, the beach no longer welcomes us, which means we no longer go to the beach, not for aesthetic reasons, but health reasons.
Luckily, we found a place at the edge of the beach with a lot of shade, a table, and a bench. It was very good for resting, reading, admiring the view, and remembering the lost pleasure of lying in the sun.

I should have told you about that vacation, but I no longer remember. I only remember the beauty of those places, and I want to stay with those images.

I rely mostly on photos in all my blogs. Words don't help me as much as photos.
I always start with photos when I want to write a blog. Photos remind me of places, events, and feelings that turn into words.
I make this statement as a plea to those reading not to overjudge the text and to focus on the photos.
A wise saying goes that a photograph is worth a thousand words, but I don't think so..
It depends on the viewer.
I'm watching you!!
