Today is Palm Sunday, 2021. This is the first message from the blockchainchurch.
A church is not a church building. It is a fellowship of believers. That's why the @blockchainchurch is here as a church.
I am not a priest with formal training. But, I understand that the Christian church is comprised of the "priesthood of believers." So, I'm comfortable in sharing the Gospel of Christ alongside any other Christian believer.
Today, a self-proclaimed atheist wrote of religion and of "fate." He mentioned being "spiritual" and Hinduism, but did not mention Christ. His focus was on his understanding of religion, and fate, but not on the free gift of salvation that comes through faith in Jesus's life, death, resurrection, and victory over sin.
So, I wrote the following as a simple introduction to Christianity:
For a Christian, it's not about what you know, or books you read, or what you understand, or how you were born, or anything that you've done.Christians believe that all people are sinful, are separated from God, and alone cannot redeem themselves in any way. That's scary and sounds hopeless. But, it's not! Through his word in the Bible, God tells us he wants us to be reconciled to him. That's why Jesus came and lived a sin-free life in our place. Through Jesus Christians are made right with God, not by what we know or do, but through faith in Christ. :)
A prayer...
I pray that the Holy Spirit will use the words written here to strengthen the faith of those in the Christian family and gather those who are who are not.
