Boring Background

I'm Blingit. An Aussie SAHM who spends my life at the ballet studio with my kids and in my spare time i paint.
I can be a bit on and off again with my art, fits of activity where i finish more paintings in a week that i do in 5 months at other times.
I had a hand injury 2 years ago that damaged the nerves in my painting hand. Its been a slow road and i think we are as good as we are going to get. It doesnt stop me painting, but it sure slows me down.
As a rule i have been painting Daily Paintings. They keep my hand in and also stop my anxiety over not being good enough. i have a time limit and thats it. if it doesnt work, i learn something and move on.

Today's Painting is a sunset over an Australian landscape

Ground: Canvas Panel 5X7 inches or 12.7 x 17.8cm
Paint: acrylic
Time: longer perhaps and hour and half?
Colours: Ultramarine and a touch of alizarin crimson in the sky at the top. a touch of burnt sienna (an orange) in the blue to tone it down a touch as its sunset. white obviously.
similar colours in the clouds just deepter. adding in a deep and light cadmium yellow and a touch of red into the mix.
the greens were a mix of sienna, black and a deep yellow to make a very deep green. with touches of the sky sunset colours added in the highlights.
the very distant mountain has some smoky blue in it. a touch of the blue sky colour, white and the cloud colours.
