Holla Splinters
It feels good to be back again in the Splinterlands game arena. I'm sure by now every Splinter Fan has already warmed up to the Conclave Arcana sets since their recent release, because trust me, I have. Over the past few days, I have been warming up and whooping some asses in the game Arena and for someone who hasn't played in a while, I'd say I did good with all my Victory games.
Although I wasn't lucky at first as I was given the beating of my life in my first two games lol, this motivated me to come back stronger and at a point during the showdown, I felt sorry for my opponent 😂. If you've ever lost two times in a row, you'd understand the anger I used in entering the Arena the third time.
Not to bore y'all with too much tale, let's get right into the game as I share my challenges, strategies and tactics for winning.
Ruleset
There are no rulesets to this game as every mechanic of the gameplay remained the same. Seeing how I've lost two times in a row using the Archons from the Earth Splinters, I decided to go with an Archon that possesses dual elements, and this enabled me to have a variety of options made available when it was time to choose my monsters. The Manna cost was 22 Units, and I chose a total of five monsters with one Archon. My opponent, however, was having four monsters and one Archon

ROUND 1:
The moment we got to the battlefield and I saw my opponent's team, I already knew how the fight would end, and I was already laughing victoriously even before the first blow was dealt. No, it wasn't because my team were more because I have fought with more teams and still lost.
For this game, given the not-so-high manna cost, I was particular with the health and strategies when choosing my various monsters.
I made sure to stay away from Monsters with the Melee attack because they brought me nothing but defeat in my previous games. In replacement, I made use of Torch Mymidon, Kha'zi Fire Mage and Blackmoor Trickster, whose ability permits ranged attacks and random shots without positioning being a barrier..
Rightfully, so my opponent came with all melee attack monsters, which was a blood bath because they were all dealt with lol.
Round one was quick and swift, and all monsters came with their A game as would the beginning of a fight. Amongst my team, Torch Myrmidon was the worst hit, being the leader mounting the frontline and all. I must confess, the dude is one strong monster and indeed good for battle. He remained solid throughout the rounds, probably due to the repair ability of my Archon. The end of round 1 saw the demise of the opponent's tank.
However, I noticed Nimbledook was sitting pretty. She took one hit without any form of retaliation, leaving the rest of the teammates to dig it out. Probably she didn't want to get her makeup messy lol well, I don't think I'm ever going to use her in battle again. Waste of Unit if you ask me.
Round 2_____4
From Round 2, my opponent's team was already weakened with countless back-to-back attacks from my monsters.
It's funny how my opponent's monsters kept trageting and attacking my tank without minding the rest of my monsters. Lol, one of the disadvantages of going all Melee, which allowed my monsters to keep attacking ferociously in strong health from different positions.

At the end of Round 3, my opponent was down with just one monster, Ferrous Brewer, standing almost at its end width with just 2 life and one shield.
By the time we got to round 4, Ferrous was barely breathing. This round was the shortest I have ever seen in a battle as an attack from Torch, Blackmoor, and Kha'zi saw the monster meeting its end.
At the end of the battle, my monsters were barely injured, and they were still aggressively willing to fire shots.
Summary
There are two things that I love about the Archon that I chose. First, I love how the Archon Brewmaster Abraxas's dual ability of fire and earth gave me the liberty to be diverse in choosing my team monsters.
To work well with this Archon, one needs to choose monsters between the two elements. I found out that monsters from the fire element work best for me, so I chose more from there.
Secondly, I love its repair abilities as I believe it to be the reason my tank took all that hit without defeat
