Hello everyone

Good day everyone, it's a beautiful day out here and I'm having a great time with my needle and thread creating something that is very useful and easy to make for my friend's lunch pack as my first entry for #KITCHENDIY. I bring to you today with great pleasure the cutting and sewing process of this fabric cutlery holder I made for my friend from pieces of fabric for her lunch pack.
Most of us go out to our various places of work with our lunch pack just like my friend, and often times, she usually have her fork and spoon in her bag just like that without being wrapped since her lunch bag can only contain her food warmer alone, one thing led to another while we were chatting and she told me how she misplaced her spoon which she was supposed to use for eating probably it fell off or something and I told her that i could actually make her a cutlery holder where she can have her fork and spoon well wrapped and kept safe in her bag, she was surprised and jokingly said "let's see what you can make this time" with my creativity, I came up with this.

Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process below

I measured and cut out 14 x 14" from my pieces of fabric
I folded it in two in a triangle shape and set it aside
For the rope to tie it together, I measured 25" from my bias tape
It was folded in two and sewn to make a long rope
It was folded in two and inserted at the tip of the folded piece and I sew on both sides, leaving an opening by the side where it can be turned inside out
It was turned inside out through the opening and I top stitched on both sides
I marked 5" on both sides and it was folded in and held together
The folded base was top stitched on and I have this envelope shape with a fork and spoon in it
It was folded and the rope was used to tie and secure it at the back.
This is the final and beautiful outcome of this cutlery holder I made for my friend for her lunch pack for safe keeping in her bag, I hope you like the simplicity and usefulness of it.

Thanks so much for your time, support, comment and encouragement. Until my next post, do have a great and lovely time.
