10,000 Hours - Buttercups Part 7

Oh it felt good to draw today! Especially in between real life art lessons and other general happenings. Today's progress was probably my most unstructured area so far, there in the top right corner, but by the end I was really digging the movement of the different colors showing through the green.

I also make my first glaring mistake when my green pencil slips and scratches through one of the sunbeams. Fortunately my kneaded eraser took up most of it (Yay!) and I was able to soften the little that wouldn't come up with another layer of soft yellow. That's the taffy-pull you see about halfway through the video. For those that don't know what that gray stuff is, it's a kneaded eraser, essentially an eraser that you can pinch and pull so you can take up very fine details (or mistakes) that a normal rubbing eraser is just too bulky to reach. It feels like tickytack and picks up fluff like nobody's business if left to its own devices. n_n;
