Hello Hive friends, greetings to you all, happy month of love and friendship! Today I'm going to give this pair of work overalls a new lease on life by turning them into a bag. You'll see how useful a garment that was going to be thrown away can be! For this I used:

Paso nro 1
Using the upper part of the panties, where the chest and back meet, I'll cut out the front and back pieces of the bag, using the same pockets to make them fit. I started by unpicking the zipper. Then I unpicked the waistband to divide the panties. From the sleeves, I'll cut the sides of the pockets. And from one leg, I'll cut the base of the bag, which will be double-layered for added strength. I'll use the waistband for the handles. Here you can see all the bag pieces. I didn't use a pattern because I'm making it using the full width of the upper part.

I start by attaching the base, since it will be double-layered. I begin with the front cover, then flip it over and attach the back part. It will form a tube, and then I flip it over again, so the fabric is double-layered and sturdy. Here you can see how it turned out.

Then I sewed the zipper on the top. After sewing the zipper, I sewed the sides.

Finally, I sewed a hem to what was the waistband and sewed on the handles, sewing them very well so that they wouldn't come loose and the bag would be sturdy.

And this is how this bag turned out; it's quite spacious. So if you have a pair of work overalls you don't use anymore, now you know you can make bags with them. Bye, see you soon!
