Yes, we spent three weeks in Iceland last December, we slept on top of a 4WD car, in a tent. That way, we had the chance to enter the inner part of the country in wintertime, far away from tourists and resorts. We have experienced miracles in remote places, like northern lights and our own hot-tubs.

I sincerely recommend it to everyone even in wintertime.
