When the Dopamin kicks in... Many milestones achieved!

Status Quo

I usually omit EOS-Reports now, although they're always cool because one can spend a lot of Glint and get all those shiny new cards - the most addictive thing in Splinterlands. This season though, many long-term strategies finally bore fruits, and I'm super happy to share them. And I really hope it will motivate some others to keep going. It's a grind, but the rewards are exponentially! One could call it capitalistic masochism... 😝

1. THE thing(s).

Okay, yes, my biggest achievement was getting Tofu and Yodin in this season. I actually wrote a post: I went crazy and I don't regret it.
Yodin is since then up to $45 again, and Tofu is at $62,50, so financially it already made sense. I'm still getting the hang of how to use them - I usually fight against those two, so it's hard to be on the other side. But I already did win quite a few games with them, and am sure that they will win me some decisive battles in tournaments.

Reward cards

I have all commons on Max level now! That's very, very cool. The last one was the Halarian Hunter, and by buying 250 common draws, I got exactly to 400 BCX. Now I will have to spend less Glint - not sure how to spend it yet. Probably chests.
EPICS!
Here was a lot of dopamine involved. Very happy with my draws.
As you can see, I got the Trooper, the Weaver and the Halfling to Max level. All three of them are incredible cards, and I'm super happy for that. Next season, I'll probably be able to have them all at max, except for the Conjurer - which I don't use that often, so it's okay.
Rares
For some reason, I'm still lagging on rares. 7 are maxed out so, 5 are missing. It bugs me that the Dark Arborist is still not maxed, as he becomes even more powerful with Void. But maybe next EOS, only 5 BCX missing!

Land

Land 1.75 is activated! I was able to switch around my productions easily, as I only have 5 plots. So now they're somewhat stable, and I'm throwing everything into the pools. Since I now I can't get any totem fragments anyway, I just harvest every 2-3 days.
I did activate my last Grain-Plot, and will fill the missing slots with cards when (well, IF) the prices drop a little again.
I like the news pools. One can actually see how much was earned in each one, and that seems to be quite a bit for me already, considering. I just added to the pool before taking this screenshot, around 40 DEC to each, so I had around 430 DEC in the non-grain pools - and already made 15 DEC plus the equivalent in ressources, so around 3,5% ROI. That is since Land 1.75 was released. This might be a lot more profitable than mining SPS!

HP and SPS

HP
Another big step - I reached 1,500 HP already! Actually passed it by now...
Thanks to everyone who is supporting me in my HIVE-Journey! I try to keep my contributions to the blog as varied as possible within my interests, but the most profitable is still the section about Splinterlands. That doesn't stop me from posting politics, reflections and economy 🙃
SPS
As I am buying 100 SPS daily, and sometimes 200 SPS, I was able to reach the threshold that is being mentioned by @azircon in his post about the HIVE-Holdings of SPL players :
If you think you have more than 130,039 staked SPS, you can ask me, and if I find time, I can highlight you account.
I'm eligible now! I made it! 🤣 Thanks again for all the support and help and patience towards my questions!
In a comment to the post by Azircon, I said my goal for the whole 2025 was to reach 135k - well, almost there. The more time I spent in the HIVE-Verse, the easier it gets to become more efficient in asset-allocation and boosting my ROI. Again, it's a grind, but it's really rewarding. Masochistic Capitalism?

Modern Format

After a looooong time, I decided to give Modern Format a try again, and was surprised on how quickly I went up in ranks and how much SPS is to be made there. I got up into Diamond 1, which is the same league that my bot gets me into in Wild - but I make more than double in SPS in modern. As I don't need as much Glint anymore, I'll focus more on Modern when I have time. It's a lot of fun, too!

Conclusion

What a great 2 weeks! There's a lot going on in my private life, so it was all the better to have those little Dopamine-Kicks from Splinterlands and HIVE. I really have to re-think all my goals, as they turn more into milestones after every season.
The fun-factor is still on. Two new cards with new abilities and combinations which I have to learn, new strategies. I'm all for that, and it's a lot of fun so far.
On top, the Modern Ranked - I had forgotten how much fun that is. I'll keep battling there until CA comes out, then I will have to see as most of my deck is Chaos Legion, and most of my tactics evolve around just that set. But we'll see what CA brings - I'm saving up as much DEC as I can!
Writing - I have way more ideas than I have time to write down. We recently moved the bakery to a new spot, an old "adobe" house that a friend of mine bought and restored in an amazing way. Hopefully our forever-home now! I even told my friend to tell me if he wants to sell the house one day, and I really don't like owning properties 😅
So, a lot going on. I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing (as around 1k words per post show...). Any feedback is very welcome! Commentrewarder is activated :-)
